The micromanometer-thermometer for air velocity measurement with 200 mbar full scale is a portable instrument designed for measurements with Pitot tubes in HVAC, ventilation, heating, air conditioning and high-velocity airflow control applications.
Compared to the 20 mbar version, this model is designed for a wider operating range: air velocity measurements from 2…180 m/s and differential pressures up to ±200 mbar. It is therefore the correct choice when higher air velocities are expected or when the differential pressure generated by the Pitot tube exceeds the range of more sensitive micromanometers.
The instrument measures the differential pressure detected by the Pitot tube and calculates both air velocity and airflow rate.
For airflow calculation, the duct cross-sectional area can be entered within the range 0.0001…1.9999 m². Available measurement units allow operation with pressures in Pa, mbar, mmH₂O and PSI, velocities in m/s, km/h, ft/min, mph and knots, airflow in l/s, m³/h and cfm, and temperature in °C and °F.
Temperature measurement is performed using K thermocouple probes in the range -200…+600 °C. The instrument can also be used as a thermometer with probes fitted with standard miniature connector, or with Pitot tubes equipped with integrated thermocouple when simultaneous air temperature and velocity measurements are required.
The Max, Min and Avg functions allow the main values to be displayed during inspections, while REL and HOLD support field readings and comparisons. The IP66 protection rating makes the instrument suitable for technical environments and maintenance operations on systems and installations.
It is the correct choice when a portable instrument for immediate high-velocity measurements is required, without the need for internal data logging.

FAQ – Micromanometer-thermometer
When should the 200 mbar full-scale model be selected?
It is recommended when air velocities up to 180 m/s or higher differential pressures must be measured compared to the range covered by the 20 mbar model. It is suitable for stronger airflow conditions and inspections on higher-velocity systems.
What is the difference between the 20 mbar and 200 mbar models?
The 20 mbar model measures air velocities from 2 to 55 m/s and is more suitable for low differential pressures. The 200 mbar model reaches up to 180 m/s and is designed for applications with higher velocities and differential pressures.
How is airflow rate determined?
The instrument calculates velocity from the differential pressure measured with the Pitot tube. By entering the duct cross-sectional area, it can also calculate airflow rate.
Which measurement units are available?
Units are available for differential pressure, velocity, airflow and temperature. These include: Pa, mbar, mmH₂O, PSI, m/s, km/h, ft/min, mph, knots, l/s, m³/h, cfm, °C and °F.
Is air temperature compensated?
Yes, the instrument provides automatic or manual air temperature compensation within the range -200…+600 °C.
Can it also measure temperature only?
Yes, it can be used as a thermometer with K thermocouple probes fitted with standard miniature connector.
Must Pitot tubes be ordered separately?
Yes, Pitot tubes, PW cable and K thermocouple probes must be ordered separately. Selection depends on the duct type, required tube length and whether integrated temperature measurement inside the tube is needed.
