Dual-input datalogger manometer-thermometer – HD2124.2

The dual-input datalogger manometer-thermometer is a portable instrument for measurements of absolute, relative, differential pressure and temperature, designed for applications where measurement trends need to be recorded over time and acquired data documented.

The dual-input structure allows the instrument to work with two measurement channels, display the difference between readings and manage more complete checks on systems, circuits and test benches. Pressure and temperature modules and probes can be connected, selecting the most suitable configuration according to the type of inspection required.

For pressure measurements, the PP471 electronic module is used, compatible with TP704 and TP705 series probes. The availability of differential, relative and absolute pressure probes allows a wide range of applications to be covered, from low-pressure measurements with mbar resolution to higher pressures on technical and industrial circuits.

Temperature is measured using Pt100 probes with SICRAM module or direct 4-wire Pt100 probes, with a measuring range of -200 °C…+650 °C. Probes with SICRAM module store calibration data internally and are automatically recognised by the instrument.

The datalogger function allows up to 32,000 sample pairs to be stored, with configurable logging intervals. This makes the instrument suitable for long-term tests, monitoring pressure variations, thermal checks and applications where a record of measured values must be kept.

Compared to the dual-input communication-only version, this model adds internal memory and USB interface. Data can therefore be transferred to PC for analysis, archiving or test documentation. The PEAK function allows pressure peaks to be detected, while REL, HOLD, maximum, minimum and average functions support everyday inspection activities.

It is the most complete solution in the group when dual inputs, peak detection, PC communication and long-term data recording are required.

Applications

  • Long-term recording of pressure and temperature measurements on two inputs
  • Checks on pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC installations, technical circuits and test benches
  • Monitoring pressure variations with storage of acquired data
  • Verification of differences between two measuring points and trend monitoring over time
  • Pressure peak detection with PEAK function
  • Data transfer to PC via RS232C or USB for analysis and archiving
  • Temperature measurements with Pt100 probes for immersion, penetration, contact or air
  • Technical tests where documentation of measured values is required

FAQ – Dual-input datalogger manometer-thermometer

When should a dual-input datalogger manometer-thermometer be selected?
It is recommended when direct reading alone is not enough and pressure and temperature need to be recorded over time, two channels compared and data transferred to PC for analysis or archiving.

What is the difference compared to the dual-input version without datalogger?
The version without datalogger allows real-time transfer of measurements but is not designed to store long data sequences internally. The datalogger version records up to 32,000 sample pairs and provides more complete test documentation.

How much data can the instrument store?
It can store up to 32,000 sample pairs. The logging interval is configurable, allowing data collection to be adapted to the duration and type of test.

Can data be transferred to a PC?
Yes, data can be transferred via USB interface. The USB port on the datalogger model allows direct connection to a PC using the dedicated cable.

Is the PEAK function also available on the datalogger version?
Yes, the PEAK function is available and allows pressure peaks to be detected. It is particularly useful when rapid or transient variations need to be captured during a test.

Can pressure and temperature be measured at the same time?
Yes, the instrument has two inputs and can be configured with compatible probes and modules for pressure and temperature measurements, depending on the application requirements.

Are the probes and PP471 module included?
No, pressure probes, temperature probes and the PP471 module must be selected according to the measuring range and type of check required. The configuration must therefore be defined according to the actual application.

When is it useful to record sample pairs?
Recording sample pairs is useful when two quantities or two inputs need to be monitored over time, for example pressure and temperature, or two pressure points on the same system.
