Datalogger micromanometer-thermometer for air velocity – HD2114P.2

The datalogger micromanometer-thermometer for air velocity measurement is a portable instrument for measuring differential pressure, air velocity, airflow rate and temperature, designed for inspections on HVAC, ventilation, heating and air treatment systems with the possibility of recording data over time.

The version with 20 mbar full scale is intended for air velocity measurements from 2…55 m/s using a Pitot tube. This configuration is particularly suitable for checking ducts, diffusers and air channels with medium-low air velocities, while maintaining good sensitivity in differential pressure readings.

The datalogger function allows up to 36,000 samples to be stored, with logging intervals selectable from the menu. This makes it possible to document measurement trends during long-duration tests, inspections on operating systems, airflow stability checks or monitoring campaigns that go beyond simple instant readings.

The instrument features RS232C and USB 2.0 interfaces for transferring data to a PC or for real-time transmission to a portable printer. Print interval, baud rate and logging interval can all be configured from the menu, making the instrument suitable both for field acquisition and for subsequent analysis of recorded values.

Temperature is measured using K thermocouple probes in the range -200…+600 °C. Standard miniature connector probes can be used, as well as Pitot tubes fitted with integrated thermocouple when air temperature compensation is required during velocity measurements.

In addition to logging, the instrument includes Max, Min, Avg, REL and HOLD functions, useful for immediate readings, comparisons and inspection activities. The IP66 protection rating and battery power supply make it suitable for operational use on systems and technical installations.

Compared to the non-datalogger version, this model is the correct choice when measurement traceability is required, together with PC data transfer and documentation of air velocity, airflow and temperature trends over time.

Applications

  • Long-term recording of air velocity, airflow rate and differential pressure
  • HVAC inspections on ducts, air channels, diffusers and ventilation systems
  • Measurements with Pitot tube for air velocities from 2 to 55 m/s
  • Verification of airflow stability in HVAC and air treatment systems
  • Airflow calculation by entering duct cross-sectional area
  • Data transfer to PC via RS232C or USB
  • Temperature measurements with K thermocouple probes or Pitot tubes with integrated thermocouple
  • Measurement campaigns where documentation of acquired values is required

FAQ – Datalogger micromanometer-thermometer

When should the 20 mbar datalogger version be selected?
It is recommended when measuring air velocities from 2 to 55 m/s and when recording measurement trends over time is required. It is suitable for HVAC systems, monitoring activities and inspections where measurement documentation is needed.

What is the difference compared to the non-datalogger version?
The non-datalogger version is intended for immediate field measurements. The datalogger version adds internal memory, USB connection, PC data transfer and the possibility of storing up to 36,000 samples.

How much data can the instrument store?
The instrument can store up to 36,000 samples. The logging interval is configurable, allowing data acquisition to be adapted to the duration of the test.

Does the PC connection require USB drivers?
The USB connection on datalogger models uses a HID-type miniUSB port. With the dedicated cable, the instrument can be connected to a PC without installing specific USB drivers.

Can data also be transferred in real time?
Yes, through the RS232C port the instrument can transfer acquired measurements in real time to a PC or compatible portable printer.

Can it also be used as a thermometer?
Yes, it can measure temperature using K thermocouple probes fitted with standard miniature connector, in the range -200…+600 °C.

Are accessories included?
No, Pitot tubes, PW cable and K thermocouple probes must be selected and ordered separately. Configuration depends on duct type, required tube length and whether temperature measurement with the Pitot tube is also needed.

When is it advisable to switch to the 200 mbar model?
The 200 mbar model is preferable when air velocity may exceed the 2…55 m/s range and reach up to 180 m/s, or when higher differential pressure values are expected.
