Portable manometer-thermometer – HD2304.0

The portable manometer-thermometer is a compact instrument with LCD display designed for measurements of absolute, relative, differential pressure and temperature. It is intended for quick field checks, system inspections, maintenance activities and technical testing where a simple-to-use, robust and configurable instrument is required depending on the parameter to be measured.

For pressure measurement, the instrument uses the PP471 electronic module, which acts as the interface between the instrument and TP704 or TP705 series pressure probes. Depending on the connected probe, it can operate across a wide range of applications, from low-pressure measurements in mbar to high-pressure measurements in bar, with probes for differential, relative or absolute pressure.

Temperature measurement is carried out using Pt100 probes, also available with SICRAM module, within the range -200 °C…+650 °C. Probes equipped with SICRAM module store calibration data internally and are automatically recognised by the instrument, simplifying operation and reducing the risk of incorrect settings.

The instrument calculates maximum, minimum and average values, useful when variations during a test must be monitored or sequential readings compared. Relative measurement REL and HOLD function for freezing the displayed reading are also available, together with selectable auto power-off.

The IP67 protection rating makes the instrument suitable even for technical environments where dust, humidity or demanding operating conditions may be present. It is the most suitable solution when an essential single-input portable manometer-thermometer is required, without the need for data communication or internal data logging.

Applications

  • Absolute, relative and differential pressure checks on systems and technical circuits
  • Temperature measurements with Pt100 probes in maintenance, laboratory and industrial control applications
  • Quick field verification of low, medium and high pressures depending on the connected probe
  • Checks on pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC installations and process equipment
  • Comparative measurements using REL, HOLD, maximum, minimum and average functions
  • Technical service activities where a portable, robust and easy-to-configure instrument is required
  • Use with differential, relative or absolute pressure probes selected according to the application

FAQ – Portable manometer-thermometer

When should a single-input portable manometer-thermometer be selected?
It is the most suitable solution when spot measurements of pressure or temperature are required without the need to compare two inputs, log data or connect the instrument to a PC. It is intended for quick checks and field technical activities.

Which types of pressure can it measure?
Depending on the connected probe, it can measure absolute pressure, relative pressure referenced to atmosphere and differential pressure. Probe selection is important because it defines measurement range, resolution, connection type and compatibility with the application.

What is the PP471 module used for?
The PP471 module allows compatible pressure probes to be connected to the instrument. It is the electronic interface between the manometer-thermometer and TP704 or TP705 series probes.

Can the instrument also measure temperature?
Yes, it can measure temperature using Pt100 probes, including SICRAM versions, in the range -200 °C…+650 °C. Probe selection depends on the type of measurement required: immersion, penetration, surface contact or air temperature.

Are the probes included with the instrument?
No, pressure probes, temperature probes and the connection module must be selected according to the required application and ordered separately. This allows the instrument to be configured consistently with the actual use case.

When is it advisable to switch to a dual-input model?
A dual-input model is recommended when it is necessary to compare two measurements, display the difference between channels, transfer data to a PC or use more advanced functions such as pressure peak detection.

Is the IP67 rating useful for field applications?
Yes, the IP67 protection rating makes the instrument suitable for technical environments where dust, humidity or harsher operating conditions than laboratory use may be present.
