HD 2070 - Three channels vibration analyzer


HD2070 is a portable vibration analyzer able to make spectrum and statistical analysis on three channels at the same time. He can give measurement parameters required by current regulations on workers protection from vibrations, this instrument can measure vibration on hand-arm system and  to the whole body . It has been projected combining simplicity of use with maximum use flexibility and the possibility to adapt the instrument to the changes in regulations. Firmware is upgradeable directly by user using Noise Studio.




  • Octave and third octave filters (option HD2070.O1) comply with the specifications Class 1 of IEC 61260;
  • Detect accelerations on three axes through  accelerometers with integrated amplifying electronics (IEPE or equivalent).Is possible to connect three single axis accelerometers or a tri-axial accelerometer. The low connection impedance and low noise avoid noise and electromagnetic interference.
  • Performs calculations simultaneously on three axes, and by calculating the weighted acceleration, and with option HD2070.O1,the spectra forbandoctaveorthird octave. Show acceleration, velocity or displacement for each frequency band. Frequency weightings are freely chosen according to the specific application.;
  • As a statistical analyzer (option HD2070.O2) calculates the probability distribution of classes in 1dB. Are available a graph of the probability distribution and the one of the percentile levels from L1 to L99
  • The data logging function stores multiple profiles and spectrums using both the internal memory of 8MB and a memory card (MMC or SD cards up to 2GB). In addition, the HD2070 can be used as an audio recorder, as a further possibility to document measures;
  • With the option HD2070.O3 is possible to add profiles the signals provided by accelerometers, recording directlydigital samples. During the analysis of stored data, is useful to examine signals of the accelerometers in order to verify the absence of artefacts such as those associated with the DC-shift phenomenon;
  • The "Navigator" program allows to examine measures and to listen to recorded voice comments directly with the HD2070.
  • For a quick setup of the instrument you can store up to nine setups, user-customized according to specific applications. The desired setup is easily identified through the associated title.
  • Calibration can be performed using either accelerometers calibration data that a vibration generator. The last 120 calibrations are recorded in a file and stored in a protected and reserved area of the instrument permanent memory. The software “ Noise Studio” automatically adds the file supplied with the calibration to the measurements when downloading data into PC memory.
  • The HD2070 can be completely controlled by a PC via RS232 and USB interfaces, using a special communication protocol.




The HD2070 analyzer is able to perform all the measurements required by law on  protection of workers from the risk of exposure to mechanical vibration (Legislative Decree 19 August 2005 Ranked # 187).Selection between hand-arm measurements (HA) or whole body (WB and BV) change the frequency range of the spectral analysis available with the option HD2070.O1.

For hand-arm measures the range extends from 3.15Hz to 3.15Khz ( from 4 Hz to 2 Khz for octave bands spectrum ), while for whole boy measurement the frequency range is  movedtoward the low frequencies , from 0.5 Hz to 315 Hz ( from 0.5 Hz to 250 Hz for octave bands spectrum).

HD2070 is suitable for assessing exposure of workers to vibration and the risk of injury in the following cases:


  • vibrations transmitted to the hand-arm system through vibrating tools or objects subjected to vibration or impact,
  • whole-body vibration through the seat of a motor vehicle,
  • whole-body vibration inworkstations whole-body vibration of buildings subjected to vibration or impact.

Software for Windows ® operating systems 98/XP/Vista/7

The Noise Studio program interface is supplied to the instrument and allow, to download and display the data stored in the instrument, to manage setup, sensor configurations and calibration register file.


Several options can be activated by means of license. The program can be automatically updated via web and contains demo versions of all modules.
