Fourchannels vibration analyzer - HD2030
HD2030 is a portable vibration analyzer able to perform spectral analysis and statistics simultaneously on four channels. The instrument provides all measuring parameters required by law on workers protection from risks related to vibrations is able to make measurements on both the hand-arm that to the whole body.
The firmware can be updated directly by the user using the software Noise & Vibration Studio provided.
Accelerometers with integrated electronics allow connections to achieve low impedance and low noise between the accelerometer and the instrument, it simplifies operation and reduces the possibility to get inaccurate or altered readings by interferences or elettromagnetic noise.
The HD2030 analyzes the signal provided by accelerometers and performs the calculations simultaneously on four axes. The instrument calculates, in parallel for all channels, both the weighted acceleration values that the spectra by octave or third octave, showing the acceleration, velocity or displacement for each frequency band . Frequency weightings can be freely chosen according to the specific application.
Together with values of instantaneous and average acceleration, the analyzer also elaborates peak levels vibration dose (VDV), crest factor and also performs statistical analysis. As a statistical analyzer, the HD2030 calculates the probability distribution of a selectable parameter and parses it into 1dB classes. Are available both the graph of the probability distribution that the percentile levels from L1 to L99.
The acquisition of the acceleration of 4 channels allows, for example, to analyze vibrations transmitted from a vehicle to the driver through the driver's seat isolating driver’s movements, or to evaluate, in the design and production verification the efficacy of the damping introduced by the suspension of the seat and of absorbent material. ln construction is possible to correlate the signal from hammers used to excite the structure with the signal received from an high sensitivity tri-axial accelerometer coupled to it.
A versatile data logger function stores multiple profiles and spectra using both 8MB internal memory that a memory card (SD card up to 2GB) In addition, if desired, is possible to add to profiles, the signals provided by the accelerometers, recording directly the digital samples. When stored data are analyzed is useful to examine the accelerometer signals to verify the absence of artifacts such as those generated by the DC-shift. Each recording can be documented accompanying a vocal comment.
HD2030 can be also used as an audio recorder, another possibility to document the measures. The "Navigator" software equipped with the analyzer, allows to examine measures recorded and listen to voice comments. For a quick instrument setting the HD2030 can store up to nine setups, customized by user according to specific applications. The desired setup is identified easily through the associated title. The calibration can be performed using either the calibration data of the accelerometers that a vibration generator.
The last 120 calibrations are recorded in a file and stored in the protected and reserved instrument permanent memory. The interface program “Noise & Vibration Studio” addsfile automatically with calibration to the measurements when downloading data into PC memory.
HD2030 can be completely controlled by a PC through the RS232 and USB, using a special communication protocol. Applications The analyzer HD2030 is able to perform all the measurements required by laws on workers protection from the risk of exposure to mechanical vibration (Legislative Decree Ranked # 187 August 19, 2005).
The choice to perform hand-arm (HA) or whole body (WB and BV) measures changes the frequency range of the spectral. For hand-arm measures the field extends from 3.15Hz to 3.15kHz (from 4Hz to 2kHz for octave bands spectrum) while for whole-body measures the center of the frequencies field is moved toward the low frequencies, from 0.315Hz to 315Hz (from 0.5Hz to 250Hz for the spectrum for octave bands). The HD2030 is suitable for the exposure assessment of workers to vibration and risk of injury in the following cases: vibrations transmitted to the hand-arm system with vibrating tools or objects subject to vibration or impact, whole-body vibration through the driving seat of vehicles or whole-body vibration in workstations; whole-body vibration transmitted from buildings subjected to vibration or impact.
HD2030 is a vibration analyzer suitable for the following applications: Spectral analysis of octave or third octave vibrations; Statistical analysis with calculation of percentile levels from L1 to L99 evaluation of vibration attenuation of antivibration gloves, seats and materials and structural inspections on buildings.
