Sound lever meter is a device employed to measure the sound pressure level. This instrument is particularly suitable for controls in every industrial field, healthcare, security and control of environment.
The generic structure of a sound level meter is composed substantially by two blocks: microphone and transducer, which permits the transformation of pressure variations, dues to acoustic wave, into corresponding electrical quantities. The acoustic signal, after being converted to voltage, enters the real measurement block where it is appropriately processed and displayed.
The most of sound level meters proposed by SAMA Tools have three different operation modes that respectively permit to determine the noise level in dB, the equivalent sound level (Leq) in a certain lapse of time and to perform a statistical analysis on sound data (Ln).
