Centesimal Dial gauges

Dial gauge is a measuring instrument employed to measure linear displacement. Dial gauges are normally made with measuring lengths between 1 and 100 mm, while the resolution is, in this case, 0.01 mm.

This instrument is employed for many purposes: measuring the displacement of an object; detecting errors of parallelism; checking the flatness or perpendicularity of a surface as opposed to a reference plane; checking the cylindricity and the linearity of a circumference in respect to an axis; detecting differences in height between a test piece and a sample; controlling deformation of a piece.
