Portable pen pH meters are compact instruments for checking the pH of liquids and solutions directly at the point where the inspection is carried out. They make it possible to assess whether a sample is more acidic, neutral or alkaline and are suitable for quick checks in numerous applications: water and wastewater treatment, swimming pools, aquariums, agriculture, crop cultivation, environmental monitoring, food and beverages, electroplating, process plants and wastewater management.
The portable design makes the pen pH meter easy to use both for periodic checks and for inspections performed directly in the production department, in the field or at the sampling point. The electrode comes into contact with the sample and the value is shown on the display, making the measured pH easy to read.
Both models feature automatic temperature compensation. This function takes the sample temperature into account during measurement, helping keep the pH reading more consistent as the liquid conditions change.
The SAPH287 model, with 0.1 pH resolution, is suitable for direct checks and routine pH monitoring. Its one-point automatic calibration makes it suitable for activities where the sample value needs to be detected quickly and checked against the required conditions.
The SAPH288 model, with 0.01 pH resolution, makes it possible to distinguish smaller variations in pH. It also displays the sample temperature and allows automatic calibration at up to three points. It can be selected when the check requires greater reading accuracy or when samples with values distributed across a wider pH range need to be assessed.
When checks are carried out at the bench, on collected samples or in laboratory environments, it may be preferable to choose the range of portable pH meters with an external probe. The separate probe makes it easier to position the electrode in the container and makes the reading more convenient during measurement.
Calibration report available on request, to accompany the pen pH meter with metrological documentation useful for internal checks and for monitoring its status over time.

FAQ – Pen pH meters
What does a pen pH meter measure?
A pen pH meter measures the pH of a liquid or solution, indicating whether the sample has more acidic, neutral or alkaline characteristics.
What is the difference between the two pen pH meters?
The SAPH287 model is suitable for direct checks with 0.1 pH readings and one-point automatic calibration. The SAPH288 model has 0.01 pH resolution and accuracy, also displays the sample temperature and allows automatic calibration at up to three points.
When should a pen pH meter with 0.01 pH resolution be selected?
It is suitable when smaller pH variations need to be distinguished or when the check requires a more accurate reading of the measured value.
What is automatic temperature compensation used for?
Automatic temperature compensation takes the sample temperature into account during measurement, helping provide a more consistent pH reading as liquid conditions change.
Does the pen pH meter also display temperature?
Temperature display is available on the model with 0.01 pH resolution. This value makes it possible to combine pH monitoring with checking the sample temperature.
Can the pen pH meter be used for swimming pools and aquariums?
Yes, it can be used to monitor water pH in swimming pools, aquariums, spas and other systems where the pH value needs to be monitored.
Is the pen pH meter suitable for water treatment?
Yes, it is suitable for checks on process water, wastewater, basins, tanks and solutions used in water-treatment systems.
When should a pH meter with an external probe be selected?
A pH meter with an external probe is suitable when measurements are carried out at the bench, on collected samples or in laboratory environments. The separate probe makes it easier to position the electrode in the sample container and read the value without having to keep the pen instrument immersed in the solution.
Is a calibration report available for the pen pH meter?
Yes, a calibration report is available on request.
