K-type digital thermometer – SA1311

The K-type digital thermometer is an instrument for temperature measurement using a thermocouple, designed for direct checks at a single measuring point. It can be used in production departments, laboratories, maintenance, quality control, workshops and technical applications where the temperature of surfaces, liquids, materials, air or specific components needs to be checked.

The K-type probe input makes it possible to adapt the instrument to the actual application by selecting the most suitable probe for the point to be checked. This makes the thermocouple thermometer a versatile solution when measurements need to be taken on different materials and geometries, without using different instruments for every requirement.

For surface temperature checks, dedicated probes are available for flat surfaces or points with particular geometries. Immersion probes are suitable for measurements in liquids, tanks, vessels or points where the temperature inside the fluid needs to be measured. For materials, products or components where the probe can be inserted without affecting the sample, a penetration probe can be used. This solution is suitable for internal temperature measurements on soft, semi-solid or otherwise penetrable materials. The air probe is suitable for environmental checks and for monitoring air temperature near systems, machinery or process areas.

The option to choose different probes makes it possible to configure the thermometer with K-type probe according to the material to be checked, the shape of the measuring point and operating conditions. Probe selection is therefore as important as the instrument itself, as it allows the sensor to be correctly positioned close to the area to be checked.

The display shows the measured temperature. The Hold function keeps the measured value on the display, which is useful when the probe is positioned in an area that is not easy to observe or when the temperature needs to be noted after the check has been completed.

The digital thermometer can be used for spot checks on heated components, welds, work surfaces, piping, liquids, materials being processed, thermal penetration points or process air. It is a suitable solution when the check requires a targeted reading and the option to select the probe most appropriate for the application.

When two points need to be checked simultaneously, measured temperatures need to be compared or measurements need to be recorded over time, the two-channel data logger thermometer in the same range can be selected.

Calibration report available on request, to accompany the K-type digital thermometer with metrological documentation useful for internal checks and for monitoring its status over time.

  • Temperature checks before, during or after a process

FAQ – K-type digital thermometer

What does a K-type digital thermometer measure?
A K-type digital thermometer measures temperature using a thermocouple probe. The selected probe determines the type of check that can be carried out, for example on surfaces, liquids, materials, air or internal points within the sample.

What is a K-type probe?
A K-type probe is a thermocouple used to measure temperature. It can be supplied in different versions according to the application, making it possible to adapt the measurement to the point to be checked.

Which probes can be used with the thermometer?
K-type probes are available for surface, immersion, penetration and air measurements. The range also includes solutions for surfaces with 90° geometries, useful when the measuring point requires a particular probe shape.

Can the thermometer measure the temperature of a surface?
Yes, with a K-type surface probe it can be used to check the temperature of components, piping, welds, plates, materials being processed or other external points on the workpiece.

Can the thermometer be used on liquids?
Yes, when used with an immersion probe, it can monitor the temperature of liquids, tanks, vessels or samples being checked.

Can air temperature be measured?
Yes, using a K-type air probe, the instrument can be used for environmental checks or to monitor air temperature near systems and process areas.

What is the Hold function used for?
The Hold function keeps the measured value displayed. It is useful when the probe is used in a position that is not convenient to read or when the result needs to be noted after the check.

When should the two-channel data logger thermometer be selected?
The two-channel data logger thermometer is suitable when two temperatures need to be measured simultaneously, measured values need to be compared or measurements need to be recorded over time using internal memory and software.

Is a calibration report available for the K-type digital thermometer?
Yes, a calibration report is available on request.
