The HD2302.0 portable luxmeter is a compact photo-radiometer designed for quick measurements of illuminance, luminance, PAR and irradiance across different spectral ranges. Depending on the connected probe, the instrument can be used for checks in lux, cd/m², W/m², µW/cm², µmol/(m²·s) and µW/lumen, covering photometric, radiometric and UV measurement applications.

Automatic recognition of probes equipped with SICRAM module simplifies everyday use: the instrument identifies the connected probe, selects the correct measurement unit and uses the calibration data stored directly inside the probe. This makes the HD2302.0 particularly suitable for users who need to switch from illuminance measurements to UVA, UVB, UVC, PAR or VIS-NIR checks without manually reconfiguring the instrument each time.

It is the ideal choice when spot measurements, field inspections and technical checks are required without the need for internal data logging. Compared to HD2102.1 and HD2102.2 models, the HD2302.0 is more essential: it allows direct reading, max/min/average calculation, relative measurement REL and HOLD function, but does not include advanced Q(t) exposure calculation or datalogger functions.

With LP471 series probes, the instrument can be configured as a luxmeter for workplaces, laboratories and lighting systems, as a UV radiometer for UVA, UVB and UVC checks, as a PAR instrument for photosynthetically active radiation applications or as a system for measuring global solar irradiance using dedicated probes. This makes it a flexible instrument, especially useful when the main requirement is a single portable display unit that can be paired with the most suitable probe for the required measurement.

When should the HD2302.0 luxmeter be selected?
The HD2302.0 is recommended when portable and immediate measurements of illuminance, luminance, PAR or irradiance are required without the need to record long sequences of data. It is suitable for fast technical inspections, field verification and comparison tests on different light sources.

What is the difference between the HD2302.0 and HD2102.1?
The HD2302.0 is simpler and focused on direct reading. The HD2102.1 adds Q(t) time integral calculation, programmable thresholds and real-time transfer via RS232C. If only direct measurement and reading are required, the HD2302.0 is sufficient; if accumulated exposure over time must also be evaluated, the HD2102.1 is more suitable.

What is the difference between the HD2302.0 and HD2102.2?
The HD2102.2 is the datalogger version of the HD2102 family and allows internal storage and transfer of measurements to PC. The HD2302.0 is more suitable for spot checks, while the HD2102.2 is preferable for monitoring, repeated testing and documented data collection.

Are the probes automatically recognized?
Yes, compatible LP471 series probes equipped with SICRAM module are automatically recognized by the instrument. The system also selects the correct measurement unit according to the connected probe.

Which quantities can the HD2302.0 measure?
The measured quantity depends on the connected probe. The instrument can operate as a luxmeter, luminance meter, UV radiometer, PAR meter, VIS-NIR radiometer, blue light meter or global solar irradiance measurement system.

Can the HD2302.0 be used for UV measurements?
Yes, with dedicated probes it can measure UVA, UVB, UVC and UV-BC irradiance. Probe selection depends on the spectral band to be evaluated and on the type of light source.

Is it suitable for PAR measurements?
Yes, with LP471PAR or LP471PAR02 probes it can measure photon flux in the PAR 400…700 nm range, expressed in µmol/(m²·s). The LP471PAR02 version uses a dedicated filter to optimize spectral response.

Are the probes included with the instrument?
No, probes must be selected according to the application and ordered separately. This allows the instrument to be configured only with the probes actually required.
