The multifunction datalogger is a portable instrument with 3 independent channels designed for measuring and recording different physical quantities using a single display unit. It is intended for laboratory activities, environmental monitoring, plant inspections and field measurements where several probes may need to operate simultaneously.
Each input can be connected to probes equipped with SICRAM module, either single or combined. The system automatically recognizes the connected probe, identifies the measured quantity and stores the probe calibration data internally. This allows probes to be exchanged between inputs, or even between compatible instruments, without losing the metrological information associated with the probe.
With the available probes and modules, the instrument can measure temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, differential pressure, air velocity, illuminance, luminance, PAR, irradiance, CO2, DC voltage and DC current. This makes it a flexible solution when several parameters must be monitored simultaneously using a single datalogger, avoiding the use of multiple dedicated instruments.
The colour graphic LCD display provides a clear reading of acquired values. The instrument can simultaneously display three measurements in numeric format or manage the visualization of two channels and the difference between the two values. A real-time variable graph can also be displayed, useful when monitoring the trend of a parameter during a test.
The datalogger function allows manual or automatic recording with configurable logging interval. Data are stored on SD card up to 8 GB in CSV format, with date and time associated with each sample. This configuration makes the instrument suitable both for rapid measurements and for long-term monitoring campaigns, with subsequent data processing on PC.
Operational functions include HOLD, relative measurement, minimum, maximum, average and internal clock. The instrument can generate PDF reports and, through DeltaLog9 software, allows start and stop management of acquisition, data download, parameter configuration, table and graph visualization, real-time acquisition, printing and export in different formats.
For temperature measurements, the datalogger is compatible with 4-wire Pt100 PRT probes and thermocouples type K, J, T, E, R, S, B and N through dedicated interface modules. Pt100 probes can perform high-accuracy measurements in the ranges -200…+350 °C and +350…+850 °C depending on the selected configuration.
The instrument can be powered by internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery, external power supply or USB connection from PC. Battery life can reach up to 18 hours of continuous operation. The mini-USB port simplifies PC connection, while the RS232C serial output with RJ12 connector allows connection to a serial printer. The IP64 protection rating and protective rubber holster with magnetic support make the instrument suitable for field operation.

FAQ – Multifunction datalogger
What is a 3-channel multifunction datalogger used for?
It is used to measure and record multiple physical quantities with a single instrument. The three independent inputs allow connection of different probes and simultaneous monitoring of parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, air velocity, light, CO2, voltage or current.
Which quantities can it measure?
Depending on the connected probes, it can measure temperature, relative humidity, barometric and differential pressure, air velocity, illuminance, luminance, PAR, irradiance, CO2, DC voltage and DC current.
How does automatic probe recognition work?
SICRAM probes are automatically recognized by the instrument. The module stores calibration data, serial number and all information necessary for correct identification and measurement management.
Can probes be exchanged without losing calibration data?
Yes, SICRAM probes store calibration data internally. This allows them to be moved between different compatible instruments without losing the associated information.
How many channels can be displayed simultaneously?
The instrument can display three simultaneous measurements in numeric format. It can also show two channels together with the difference between the two values, useful for comparison measurements.
How are data stored?
Data are recorded on SD card in CSV format, with configurable logging interval and time reference for each sample. The SD card capacity can reach up to 8 GB.
Can the datalogger generate reports?
Yes, the instrument can generate PDF reports. Through DeltaLog9 software, data can also be managed, displayed in tables or graphs, exported and acquired in real time.
Which temperature probes are compatible?
It is compatible with 4-wire Pt100 PRT probes and thermocouples type K, J, T, E, R, S, B and N through dedicated interface modules.
Can it be used for indoor air quality measurements?
Yes, with dedicated probes it can measure CO2 and other environmental parameters. It can also be combined with humidity and temperature probes for complete indoor environment evaluations.
Can non-SICRAM probes be connected?
Yes, some probes without SICRAM module can be used through dedicated interface modules. Compatibility must be verified according to the quantity to be measured and the probe type.
What is the battery life of the instrument?
The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows up to 18 hours of continuous operation. The instrument can also be powered through external power supply or USB connection from PC.
Is it suitable for field use?
Yes, the protective rubber holster, IP64 protection rating, battery operation and SD data logging capability make it suitable for field measurements, maintenance and technical inspections.
