With compatible LP471 series probes, it can be configured for photometric, radiometric, UV, PAR, blue light and global solar irradiance measurements.

Compared to the HD2102.1 model, the main difference is the integrated datalogger function. The HD2102.2 can store up to 38,000 samples with single-channel probes and up to 14,000 samples with combined probes, allowing monitoring trends and documenting measurements during tests, monitoring activities and repeated inspections. Data can be transferred to a PC via RS232C or USB, with programmable logging intervals directly from the menu.

The instrument also calculates the Q(t) time integral, useful for evaluating accumulated exposure during a test cycle or monitoring period. Programmable thresholds allow limits to be associated with the integrated value or integration time, automatically stopping the calculation when the predefined condition is reached.

The HD2102.2 is the most complete solution in the family when traceability, data archiving and post-processing are required. It is preferable to the HD2302.0 for structured measurement campaigns and to the HD2102.1 when transferring data in real time is not sufficient and measurements must also be stored internally for later analysis or test documentation.

Thanks to automatic recognition of SICRAM probes, the system reduces manual settings and automatically selects the correct measurement unit according to the connected probe: lux, cd/m², W/m², µW/cm², J/m², µmol/(m²·s), µmol/m² and µW/lumen.

Applications

Monitoring illuminance, luminance, PAR and irradiance with long-term data logging

Radiometric testing on UV sources, technical lamps, exposure systems and test chambers

Laboratory data collection, repeated verification and technical documentation

Measurement of accumulated exposure through Q(t) integral and programmable thresholds

UVA, UVB, UVC and UV-BC verification and effective irradiance measurements with dedicated probes

PAR measurements in the 400…700 nm range with logging of measurement trends

Blue light monitoring and radiometric evaluations with dedicated probes

Data transfer to PC via RS232C or USB for analysis and archiving

FAQ – Luxmeter datalogger

When should the HD2102.2 luxmeter datalogger be selected?
The HD2102.2 is recommended when measurements must be recorded over time, a test cycle documented or data transferred to a PC at a later stage. It is the best choice for monitoring, repeated testing and applications where data traceability is important.

What is the difference between the HD2102.2 and HD2102.1?
Both instruments calculate the Q(t) integral and allow data transfer, but the HD2102.2 is a datalogger with internal memory storage, while the HD2102.1 is more suitable for direct reading and real-time transfer without extended internal recording.

What is the difference between the HD2102.2 and HD2302.0?
The HD2302.0 is intended for spot checks and immediate measurements. The HD2102.2 is designed for more structured testing, with internal memory, programmable logging intervals, exposure calculation and PC data transfer.

How much data can the HD2102.2 store?
The instrument can store up to 38,000 samples with single-channel probes and up to 14,000 samples with combined probes. Actual capacity depends on configuration and selected logging interval.

Can the logging interval be configured?
Yes, the logging interval can be configured directly from the menu. This allows the acquisition frequency to be adapted to the duration of the test and the amount of data to be collected.

Does the HD2102.2 include USB connection?
Yes, the HD2102.2 includes both USB and RS232C interfaces. The USB connection allows direct transfer of data to a PC using the dedicated cable.

What are SICRAM probes used for?
SICRAM probes allow the instrument to be configured for different quantities including illuminance, luminance, PAR, VIS-NIR irradiance, UVA, UVB, UVC, UV-BC, blue light, effective UV and global solar irradiance.

Is the datalogger useful for UV testing applications?
Yes, it is particularly useful when UV measurements must be monitored over time, for example to evaluate source stability, verify accumulated exposure or document tests with recorded data.

Are probes included with the luxmeter datalogger?
No, probes must be selected and ordered separately according to the required measurement type. This allows the luxmeter datalogger to be configured with the most suitable probe for the application.

The HD2102.2 luxmeter datalogger is a portable photo-radiometer designed for measurements of illuminance, luminance, PAR and irradiance, intended for applications where not only direct reading is required, but also data logging over time.
