A change in any of these will inevitably alter how the color is perceived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If the light and observer remain constant, it is the object that determines how the color is seen. This happens because the object\u2019s reflective (or transmissive) surfaces modify the spectrum of the light that reaches the observer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each object has multiple reflective surfaces, and depending on how the light interacts with them, the perceived color can vary\u2014even for the same observer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is where the colorimeter matters: it allows you to measure these subtle chromatic differences with precision and accuracy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You can also request an optional calibration report<\/a><\/strong> with your colorimeter.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n This document, which is issued by calibration centers, ensures that measurements are traceable to national standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The reliability of these reports depends on the laboratory\u2019s qualifications, the operator\u2019s expertise, and the metrological procedures<\/strong><\/a> used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Colorimeters work on plastics, metals, printed materials, and painted surfaces.
