Vernier Calipers

The vernier caliper is one of the most commonly used measuring tools in mechanics and metrology, valued for its versatility. It allows precise measurements of external, internal, and depth dimensions, making it essential for dimensional control of mechanical components and industrial products.

The caliper consists of two main parts: a fixed body with the primary scale and a movable slider that moves along the scale to take the measurement. To prevent accidental loss of the measured value, the slider is equipped with a locking mechanism, typically a lever button or clamping screw.

A key feature of the vernier caliper is its length, which refers to the maximum opening of the tool. Depending on the level of accuracy required, measurements can be read to an approximation of 1/20 or 1/50 of a millimeter, enabling detailed dimensional controls.

Made from stainless steel for durability and resistance to wear and deformation, the vernier caliper is a reliable and easy-to-use tool. It is an essential instrument for professionals and operators in the manufacturing industry.
