Thermo-hygrometer datalogger – HD2101.2

Thermo-hygrometer datalogger – HD2101.2

The thermo-hygrometer datalogger is a portable instrument designed for measuring relative humidity and temperature with internal data recording capability. It is intended for applications where reading the instantaneous value is not sufficient and long-term documentation of thermohygrometric conditions is required.

The instrument measures relative humidity in the range 0…100% RH and temperature with Pt100 or Pt1000 probes in the range -200…+650 °C. It can operate with combined humidity/temperature probes or with temperature-only probes for immersion, penetration, surface or air applications.

With a connected combined probe, the thermo-hygrometer calculates absolute humidity, dew point, partial vapor pressure, wet bulb temperature, mixing ratio, enthalpy and qualitative comfort indexes. These parameters are useful for environmental evaluations, indoor comfort analysis, humidity-sensitive process controls and more advanced thermohygrometric inspections.

Probes equipped with SICRAM module are automatically recognized by the instrument and internally store calibration data. This allows probes to be selected according to the application while maintaining correct management of sensor-related metrological information.

The datalogger function allows storage of up to 38,000 samples. Data can be transferred to a PC through USB interface or sent to a portable printer. Menu configuration allows adjustment of logging interval, print interval and baud rate. USB connection on datalogger models is HID type: with the dedicated cable, the instrument can be connected to a PC without installation of dedicated USB drivers.

Functions such as Max, Min and Avg, REL relative measurement, HOLD function and selectable auto power-off are also available. IP66 protection rating makes the instrument suitable both for field monitoring activities and laboratory or industrial measurement campaigns.

Compared to model HD2101.1, this version is preferable when measurements must be stored internally and later downloaded for analysis, archiving or test documentation.

Applications

  • Long-term monitoring of temperature and relative humidity
  • Recording of thermohygrometric data in indoor environments, laboratories, warehouses and production departments
  • Environmental condition monitoring with calculation of dew point, wet bulb temperature and enthalpy
  • Indoor comfort verification and environmental condition analysis
  • Temperature measurements with Pt100 or Pt1000 probes for immersion, penetration, surface or air applications
  • Data transfer to PC through RS232C or USB
  • Connection to portable printer for measurement printout
  • Measurement campaigns with configurable logging intervals

FAQ – Thermo-hygrometer datalogger

When should a thermo-hygrometer datalogger be selected?
It is suitable when temperature, relative humidity and calculated parameters must be recorded over time, then transferred to a PC or used to document a measurement campaign.

How much data can the instrument store?
The datalogger model can store up to 38,000 samples, with configurable logging interval through the menu.

What is the difference compared to model HD2101.1?
HD2101.1 allows real-time data transfer through RS232C. HD2101.2 adds internal memory, USB connection and the possibility to record data directly inside the instrument.

Does the USB connection require drivers?
No, USB connection on datalogger models is HID type. With CP23 cable, the instrument can be connected to a PC without installing dedicated USB drivers.

Which parameters are calculated with the humidity/temperature probe?
It calculates absolute humidity, dew point, partial vapor pressure, wet bulb temperature, mixing ratio, enthalpy and qualitative comfort indexes.

Are probes included with the instrument?
No, combined humidity/temperature probes and temperature probes must be ordered separately. Configuration depends on measuring range, application type and operating environment.

Can data also be sent to a printer?
Yes, through the RS232C interface the instrument can be connected to a compatible portable printer using the dedicated cable.

When is the datalogger model preferable to a read-only instrument?
It is preferable when long-term monitoring of thermohygrometric conditions is required, for example during prolonged tests, environmental monitoring, warehouse inspections or stability verification activities.
