This type of holiday detector uses the wet sponge method, designed to measure insulation coatings with a thickness of less than 500μm on conductive substrates. It applies a low voltage through a wet sponge moving across the surface, enabling the liquid to penetrate the substrate and detect defects via a closed circuit.
