TENSILE TESTING DEVICE - SAHDV-30K-S
The new tensile test machine by SAMA Tools is conceived for mechanical breaking tensile tests of blind rivets (both flat and sunken-headed ones) with diameters up to 6,4mm according to the UNI EN ISO 14589.
The test consists in deforming a blind rivet installed in a special test equipment up to the breaking point.
As defined by the international standard, the test methods that can be performed are:
- Shear test of blind rivets
- Tensile test of blind rivets
- Rivet shaft breaking force
Shear test of blind rivets
The test is performed by installing the rivet on a pair of bushes. These bushes will be housed on a special pair of self-aligning grips.
Tensile test of blind rivets
The test is performed by installing the rivet on a pair of bushes. These bushes will be housed on a special pair of grips.
Rivet shaft breaking force
The test is performed by installing the rivet on a bush. This bush will be housed on a special grip and tightened by the underlying clamp.
The bush, the grips and the clamp will be assembled in such a way as to constitute a riveted whole (depending on the test that the user wants to run). The operator proceeds by performing a continuous traction of the rivet, with a test speed between 7-13 mm/min until its complete rupture.
If the rivet or the shaft should break before the specified minimum load is reached, the test should be considered failed and therefore not compliant.
