Coating thickness gauges

Description

SA8826 – Coating thickness gauge for ferromagnetic and non ferromagnetic bases

SA8826 Coating thickness gauge allow to measure many type of layers and coatings, in order of tenths of a micron, quickly ,accurate and non destructive.

SA8826 Combine agility and compactness along with reliability and strength to offer an higly professional instrument at the same time simply usable by less experienced users.

SA8826 has main application on many industrial department:  anticorrosive corrosion protection, galvanic, chemical, paintings, quality control, shipbuilding, aeronautical, automotive, packaging, machinery construction and equipment.

Coating thickness gauge SA8826 is available in 3 version : F,NF and FN depending on his final use.

These 3 versions have been projected to measure thickness of carryovers on: ferromagnetic bases (example iron), non ferromagnetic (example aluminum) and both.

In the first case the instrument use magnetic induction principle, in the second that of eddy current.

Standard equipment: instrument, probe/s (*),calibration sheets, reset plate/s (*), shockproof carrying case with padding, SAMA Italia warranty and user guide.

(*) depending on the model

SA8826FN: F probe, NF probe (2 reset plates).

SA8826N: NF probe (1 reset plate).

SA8826F: F probe (1 reset plate).

Accessories and optional services:

Customizable measure range up to 6.000 μm (up to 15.000 μm on SA8829 series).

Data output with RS232-USB and data processing software.

Calibration sheets with thickness on request.

Instrument and/or calibration sheets can be accompanied by SIT primary certification and/or Calibration report.

Coating thickness gauge SA8826,main technical features:

  • Compliant with DIN,ASTM,BS,ISO2178 and ISO2361. Ideal for laboratory use and on field use.
  • “Fe”(F) probe allows to measure thickness of non magnetic materials (like paints, plastics, enamel, copper, zinc, aluminum, chromium) on magnetic materials (like iron, nickel, etc. can be also used to measure thickness of galvanized, lacquered, enameled, phosphated layers, copper covers, aluminum, some alloys, paper etc.
  • “Nfe” (NF) measure thickness of non magnetic materials on non magnetic metals. Must be used on lacquers, varnishes, enamels, plastics etc. applied on aluminum, brass, zinc and other nonferrous metals.
  • Automatic recognition of substrate;
  • Automatic / Manual power off;
  • 2 Measurement method: single or continuos;
  • μm /mil conversion;
  • Digital display for an easy and exact data reading;
  • Built with high quality materials ensure perfect use for years without need of manteinance.
